Steve Champness Named Publisher of AVBuyer & GA Buyer Magazine for North America

Steve Champness, president of the Atlanta Aero Club, has been named the publisher of AVBuyer and GA Buyer Magazine. AVBuyer is known throughout the industry for bringing the latest data, trends, and insights to decision makers in the global business aviation community. It helps aircraft owners and operators in the acquisition, sales, and maintenance of business aircraft and related products and services.

“We are excited to bring Steve on board as we continue to advance our advertising, editorial and content partnerships,” said John Brennan, Owner of AVBuyer. “He brings many years of industry knowledge and experience that will help our members and customers introduce their products and services to the marketplace.”

A long-time aviation enthusiast and industry veteran, Steve was the recipient of the 2016 Chairman's Award from The Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame. He brings more than 35 years of publishing experience to AVBuyer and has previously worked for The Robb Report Magazine, Career Pilot Magazine, and Trade-A-Plane helping in their editorial, sales, and advertising programs.

“I am very pleased to work with the great staff at AVBuyer and GA Buyer publications,” said Champness. “Reaching highly qualified buyers worldwide instead of on just one continent makes good business sense and reflects the modern aviation marketplace.”

With a great knowledge of everything with wings, Steve enjoys meeting aviation leaders from all over the world and has also guided the Atlanta Aero Club to national prominence. The Atlanta Aero Club is recognized by the NAA as one of the largest and most active "Aero Clubs" in the United States with over 100 individual and business members.
