About the Event
Steven Boecker is a 30+ year veteran of the commercial aviation industry. Current serving as Sales Executive for Delta TechOps / MRO Services at Delta Air Lines, Steve graduated from The Citadel in 1984 with a BS degree in Business Administration and subsequently graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a MS degree in Aviation Management in 1986. Upon graduation from The Citadel, Steve was commissioned as an officer in the US Army Reserve in the Transportation Corps with a specialty in Air Mobility. Steve would serve in the Army Reserve for ten years having participated in numerous multi-national campaigns.
Steve’s career has spanned a wide spectrum within the commercial aviation industry. He has demonstrated a proven track record of increasing levels of responsibility within the airline operations, MRO sales / sales management and OEM sales / sales management sectors of the industry.
Commencing his professional career in 1986 at the former Presidential Airways, based at Washington-Dulles International Airport and then moving onto FedEx Express in 1989, his various management positions in airport system operations provided a solid foundation of hands-on experience for his career in commercial aviation.
Steve further enhanced his career during his 7 year tenure at Pemco World Air Services, having culminated his role there as Director of European Sales based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Steve then subsequently served over 17 years at Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines and International Aero Engines. During his time at PW and IAE, Steve served in numerous sales management capacities, including, Director of Aftermarket Sales for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Russia, based in Paris, France; and Director-Sales, Leasing Markets, based in Hartford, Connecticut.
Steve served two, two-year terms as a member of the ISTAT Appraisers - International Board of Governors (as a non-Appraiser). Steve is likewise serving in his 11th year as a member of the Industry Advisory Board of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, College of Business in Daytona Beach, Florida. Steve is a licensed pilot with an ASEL rating and an Eagle Scout.
